Disha and Khushboo Patani
Actor Disha Patani's sister Khushboo Patani has once again made headlines. She had recently shared a strongly worded video opposing remarks made by Aniruddhacharya. Her opinion also led to some backlash, with some misunderstanding of her remarks. Khushboo issued a clarification on her statement after some claimed that her remarks were pointed at spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj Ji.
Khushboo issues clarification
Khushboo, a retired Major from the Indian Army, took to her Instagram handle and issued a clarification on her viral statement. She said that the remark was in response to a 'misogynist' comment from spiritual leader Aniruddhacharya and not Premanand Maharaj Ji.
"It has come to my notice that a false narrative is being circulated online, mixing my name with revered spiritual figure Premanand Maharaj ji, and spreading baseless claims that I’ve said something about him. Let me make this very clear – I have not made any statement against Premanand Maharaj ji, " she said.
Patani further wrote, "My words were strictly in response to a misogynistic comment made by Anirudh Acharya, and were directed only at him. It deeply pains me to see people misusing and twisting my words, dragging my name and my family name into something we have nothing to do with. This kind of targeted misinformation is not only unethical but dangerous. Respecting saints and spiritual traditions is something I hold deeply in my heart. But calling out misogyny, wherever it comes from, is also my dharma - and I will not remain silent in the face of injustice."

To those spreading lies - truth always stands tall. I request everyone to refrain from spreading manipulated videos and incorrect information. If this continues, I will be forced to take legal action against defamatory content (sic)," the ex-Army Major concluded.
What did Khushboo say against Aniruddhacharya
In a strongly worded video, Khushboo criticised Aniruddhaacharya for implying that unmarried women over the age of 25 are usually promiscuous. "He says girls who are above the age of 25 and stay in live-in relationships, woh 4 jagah mooh maar ke aati hai (they go from one person to another). If only he had been around me, I would have made him understand the meaning of the words he used against women. They are anti-national. You should never support b****** of the highest orders."
After the backlash, Aniruddhacharya apologised but also said that he was referring to "some women, not all". He said that his words were edited to make it go viral with a false narrative.
Amid criticism against her, Aniruddhacharya, in his recent video, said, "Humne bola ki live-in mein rehna galat hai, toh humara kya kar rahe hai log, virodh (I said that living in a live-in relationship is wrong, so people are protesting against me). Iss kalyug mein aap satya nahi bol sakte. Kalyug mein aap veshya ko veshya nahi keh sakte. Hai toh woh veshya, par sunna chahti hai ki main sati-savitri hoon (In this Kaliyug you cannot speak the truth. In Kaliyug you cannot call out a prostitute She is a prostitute, but she wants to hear that she is a Sati-Savitri). Ghumengi ardh-nagan, aur sunna chahegi ki hume devi kaho (She will roam around naked, and would like to hear you call her a goddess)."
