Multiple shots fired at Haryanvi rapper-singer Fazilpuria in Gurugram; manages to escapes unhurt

According to a News18 report, unidentified gunmen opened fire on Fazilpuria’s vehicle. It seems to be a planned attack. It is said that several rounds were fired at his car; however, the singer miraculously escaped without injuries. Eyewitnesses of the incident stated that the assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack, leaving behind shattered glass and panic among onlookers.

The Gurugram police have since launched an investigation into the incident. Although the motive behind the attack remains unknown, officials are currently investigating the possible links to previous controversies and rivalries in the regional music industry. Meanwhile, the CCTV footage from the area is also being examined to trace the attackers. Notably, an India TV report states that sources told them that recently STF (Special Task Force) had received an input that miscreants were planning to target a singer.

Rahul Yadav aka Fazilpuria, rose to fame with his unique fusion of Haryanvi folk along with contemporary beats. His unique fusions and style of music have earned him a massive following across North India. Apart from his famous mainstream track, Ladki Beautiful, he has also made hits like Jimmy Choo and Party, which have cemented his place in the independent music scene. Interestingly, Fazilpuris has been questioned by the ED in 2024 with regard to a money laundering case related to his friend Elvish Yadav's alleged involvement in the rave party case, wherein snake venom was reportedly being served. Fazilpuria is yet to issue a public statement regarding the firing. As the police continue to carry out investigations, fans are hoping for justice and the artist’s continued safety in the wake of this chilling attack.
