Filmmaker Ravi Chopra, who was hospitalised in Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital, passed away on Wednesday, a family source confirmed.
"He passed away on Wednesday at around 3.30 pm. His funeral will most probably will take place tomorrow at around 11," a source close to the 68-year-old filmmaker's family said.
His funeral will take place at 11.00 a.m. at Pawan Hans, Vile Parle, on&nbsp;Thursday and many celebrities are expected at the ceremony. <img src="http://images.mid-day.com/2012/oct/Ravi-Chopra_1.jpg" alt="Ravi Chopra" width="500" height="395" />

He is survived by his wife and three children. He&nbsp;belonged to an illustrious Bollywood family, with his father being director and producer B R Chopra and his uncle filmmaker Yash Chopra. 
The 'Baghban' director had been reportedly suffering from a severe lung ailment since the last few years.&nbsp;The late filmmaker was hospitalised on November 6 at Breach Candy hospital.
Ravi Chopra's career as an associate producer began with hit film "Insaf Ka Tarazu" followed by "Nikaah" and "Awam". However, his debut as a director happened with film Zameer (1975). he then directed films like 'The Burning Train' (1980), 'Mazdoor' (1983), 'Dahleez' (1986), 'Baghban' (2003) and 'Baabul' (2006).
After his father B.R.Chopra's demise, Ravi produced two successful&nbsp;movies -- Bhoothnath and Bhoothnath Returns -- with Amitabh Bachchan.
The late director who made the TV epec 'Mahabharat', had also made other mythological shows like 'Vishnu Puran' and 'Ma Shakti'.&nbsp;
Bollywood is in deep shock on the loss and expressed their grief on the demise of the filmmaker. While filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar was "Saddened to hear about the demise", director Farah Khan remembered him as "One of the nicest, kindest and big hearted soul in the film industry". Actress and politician Smriti Irani says she "was blessed to work with him" and expressed her "condolences to his loved ones". Actress Divya Dutta too was in shock.&nbsp;"I just got the news. It's certainly very sad news and a huge loss for this industry. He was one man who was full of life. For me, working with him in 'Baghban' was like a picnic. He never used to get sad or stressed over anything," she said.
