Global Vision (A Cancer Care NGO) celebrated its fifth annual anniversary Umeed - 5 'A better hope for tomorrow' at the Kashinath Ghanekar auditorium, Thane. Donations of about '35 lakhs were distributed to the needy patients.

The NGO also announced the 'Global Vision' awards for achievers from varied fields like entertainment, pharmaceutical etc. Some of the awardees included singer Udit Narayan, choreographer Ganesh Acharya and actress Mahima Chaudhary among others.

The event had live performances by playback singer Aman Trikha and a comedy act by Suresh Albela.
