He is now back with a bang with Siddharth Anand yet again for the actioner King. Ever since the announcement, the film has been undergoing multiple changes. In an unfortunate turn of events, the shoot has halted once again as King Khan sustains a severe back injury.

“He was shooting in Mumbai when he was injured. The exact details of the injury are being held under wraps at the moment. It is more of a muscular injury and nothing serious. That being said, it is not being taken lightly. Shah Rukh has travelled to the US for medical attention. He has been suggested to take a one-month rest,” said the source, as per reports by Hindustan Times.

According to India Today, the actor travelled to the US for treatment. Now, he has relocated to the UK, where he is recovering. He is accompanied by his family. A source told the publication that the injury is minor and the actor is recovering well. However, the filming of King is currently halted and will resume in September. Due to the injury, SRK’s planned trip to Sri Lanka has also been postponed.

Talking about King, Sujoy Ghosh was earlier supposed to direct it. However, Siddharth Anand came on board later. The movie marks Suhana Khan’s first big-screen outing, and she will share screen space with her dad. Apart from them, the ensemble cast of the film includes Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Anil Kapoor, and Abhay Verma.
During his presence at an event in Abu Dhabi, he spoke about the film and said, “I am just shooting it. I will be shooting it for a couple of months. My director, Siddharth Anand, is very strict. He made Pathaan also. He has asked me not to reveal what we are doing. I can’t tell you, but I can assure you that it will be entertaining. You will enjoy it.”
