'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' writer Himanshu Sharma, who has bagged the National Film Award for the screenplay and dialogues in the Kangana Ranaut starrer, is now all set to turn director.

Asked when he will be seen in the director's chair, Sharma told IANS: "I can fail miserably as a director but I think I can direct. I am scripting right now and if things go well, I will direct (a film) in 2017. Once I am done with the film that I am currently writing for Aanand, I will start with my film. Then I will start pitching for actors soon next year."
