Kangna Ranaut has often stated that she does not hanker after honours and so, has been skipping award ceremonies. But winning the National Award for Best Actress for 'Queen' (2014) is something she cannot help but exult in.

This is her second National Award &mdash; she had won the Best Supporting Actress title in 2008 for 'Fashion'. Now, it is unlikely that she will give this award-giving ceremony on May 3 a miss. 'Queen' directed by Vikas Bahl also won the Best Hindi Film award.

The film, slated to release on April 17, is about a court trial in which the hopes of the city's ordinary people play out. The film has done the festival rounds and won numerous awards too. Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Haider' starring Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Tabu and Kay Kay Menon bagged multiple awards &mdash; Best Dialogues, Best Music Direction, Best Playback Song, Best Choreography and Best Costume Designing.
