Actors Dimple Kapadia and Rajesh Khanna set the trend, way back in 1973. Dimple was only 16 then. &gt;&gt;Khandala has also been immortalised in one of Bollywood's most popular number, Aati Kya Khandala. Aamir Khan loved the song so much that he decided to sing it in his own voice. And Rani Mukherjee came to be known as the Khandala girl after the song. &gt;&gt;Tanuja's mom Shobhana Samarth spent her retirement years in Khandala. Tanuja is also known to spend a lot of time in the hillscape. &gt;&gt;Following in their mother's footsteps, Kajol and Ajay Devgan too have bought a house in Khandala. Dharamendra also is known to live in the isolated hill station and Sunny and Bobby keep dropping in. Suniel Shetty too has a palatial holiday home in Khandala.
