RD Burman’s protege to pay a tribute to the maestro at a concert marking his 75th birth anniversary

It's RD Burman’s 75th birth anniversary and this occasion is being celebrated with a concert at Shanmukhananda Hall. Musician Nitin Shankar, who has worked with RD Burman for 10 years, says, “The entire music industry will participate in and attend this event as it marks his 75th birth anniversary."
Musicians attending the concert include Sonu Nigam, Sukhwinder Singh, Anu Malik, Javed Ali, Shaan, Aadesh Srivastava and lyricist Javed Akhtar.
However, no one from Burman or Bhosle family is expected to attend the event. Shankar adds, “The Bhosle family has passed on its good wishes but they won’t be present at the event as no one from the family is currently in the country.”
