The Mohit Suri directorial was a musical romantic drama. The audience loved Shraddha and Aditya's unique and fresh chemistry. While they are yet to reunite for a new project, the actors were at T-Series' office on Wednesday for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration.
Shraddha and Aditya met at the T-Series office last evening. In a viral video, they were seen hugging each other and engaging in a quick chat before leaving. Aashiqui 2 wasn't a direct sequel to Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal's 90s blockbuster. It revolved around Rahul, a singing sensation, who falls in love with Aarohi, a woman who sings in a bar. He played an important role in making her a famous singer. They were in love. However, due to his own insecurities and shortcomings, their relationship faced obstacles. The film released in 2013 and was a huge hit.
Reportedly, Shraddha and Aditya were supposed to be the lead pair in Malang's sequel. During the pandemic, the film was in the scripting stage. There's no further development on it. Apart from Aashiqui 2, they were seen together in Ok Jaanu.
After the success of Aashiqui 2, T-Series has greenlit the third installment. Kartik Aaryan has come on board this time. The female lead is yet to be announced. As per reports, actress Akanksha Sharma will be launched as a fresh face in Bollywood with the romantic drama.
