Director Om Raut and Adipurush team to head Hyderabad for the film's shoot?

Prabhas plays Lord Ram to Kriti Sanon’s Sita in Adipurush

Director Om Raut, along with his troika of Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan and Kriti Sanon, was giving shape to magnum opus Adipurush at Film City till March-end. While the unit was to kick off the next schedule in Mumbai after a few weeks’ break, the junta curfew imposed in the state compelled the director to look at other options. Sources say that after much deliberation, it has been decided that the team will head to Hyderabad to film the ambitious venture, which is inspired by the epic, Ramayana.

“With 60 days of shoot behind them, the team has about 90 more days of work remaining. Om, with his producers, has zeroed in on a Hyderabad studio where he can shoot in adherence with safety protocols. Most portions will be shot indoors as the movie, in keeping with the director’s filmmaking style, is VFX-heavy,” reveals a source. If things go according to plan, the cast and crew will be south-bound by May 15.

When mid-day reached out to the film’s team, the spokesperson remained evasive, stating, “We want to resume work at the earliest. The team is exploring a safe working environment where the shoot can be completed.”
