Amitabh Bachchan's grandson, Agastya Nanda, made his debut in Zoya Akhtar's film, 'The Archies,' back in December. The movie, however, received a mix of reactions on social media. In an interview, Agastya talked about various topics, including addressing the mixed responses that his debut film, 'The Archies,' garnered. He stated that "no one made a film with bad intentions."

In an exclusive interview with Film Companion, Agastya Nanda opened up about his debut project, 'The Archies, receiving mixed reviews.


Agastya Nanda on 'The Archies' receiving mixed reviews, "I did not know how to deal with it honestly. When you are not prepped in this area, you don't know that many people have many opinions. That was okay. You must have your opinion. I did not know what was going on. Some people hated it, some people liked it, and some people were indifferent to it. No one made a film with bad intentions. We made it because we really loved it and we gave it our best."

Agastya also mentioned that "The Archies" didn't quite connect with everyone on certain levels. He expressed his wish to put in more effort and work hard in the future. He said, "It's my first try and I'm gonna work hard." He also added that to get to that realization, it took him some time. Agastya candidly shared that when you expect validation and it does not work out, it hurts but it also motivates. 

Elaborating on how he learned 'The Archies' was a learning experience, Agastya shared, "I learned a lot in this past month just about gratitude that I was like okay, it may have not worked to the way we expected it but I got a break."

Agastya Nanda also talked about how he got to showcase his craft on suchh a big platform and debuted with one of the finest directors. He siad, I gave it my best and I'll keep giving it my best," 

Agastya Nanda makes his Instagram debut

On Thursday,  'The Archies' star Agastya put out his first Instagram post and made his account public. Among the first followers on his handle were his sister Navya Naveli Nanda and mom Shweta Nanda Bachchan. He shared a solo picture of himself giving an intense pose dressed in a brown polo t-shirt. Agastya left the caption section blank and let the picture do the talking. 

Soon after he dropped the picture, industry members took to the comment section to welcome him on Instagram. "Big hug" wrote Gauri Khan. "Love and hugs baby boy", wrote Shweta Bachchan while Navya welcomed her younger brother. 

Meanwhile, Agastya was away from social media for the longest time even during the promotion of his debut film.  In an interview with NDTV before the release of the The Archies, Agastya revealed why he has decided to stay away from social media. "I did have a social media account and I used to get really stressed, what should I post, what filter, what angle, jawline. I used to do all this and then I was like scrap it. I am going to do some cool artsy thing…and I am not artsy. I did some cool collage and posted it. I thought this is my big reveal, I have arrived. I am going to make a public account, people are going to follow me. But people started unfollowing me.”
