What it's about: A spooky adventure set in a dense jungle is an interesting premise. And when you have someone like Ram Gopal Varma at the helm, you go in expecting a paisa-vasool thriller.

Sadly, Agyaat is as tame as the cuddly elephant in the film. The film begins with a movie unit heading into the wilderness for a shoot. It includes an arrogant superstar (Gautam Rode; in love with himself), upcoming heroine (Priyanka Kothari; in love with her body), an assistant director (South star, Nitin Reddy; in love with the heroine), a second assistant director (Rasika Duggal; in love with the AD), a cameraman (Kali Prasad; in love with his cigarette), a producer (Ishrat Ali; in love with his mobile), a director (Howard Rosemeyer; in love with his pencil) and a stunt director (Ravi Kale; in love with the his stuntmen).

When the shooting stalls due to a camera malfunction, they all decide to take a trip into the jungle interiors. The problems begin when each one starts getting killed by a force that's unknown and unseen.

What's hot: Trust Ramu to come up with a unique setting, even though it's borrowed heavily from the old Hollywood thriller, Predator. The film is shot beautifully and cinematographer Surjodeep Ghosh does a fabulous job.

Ramu basically depends on the camera movements and sound effects to bring across the terror and that's not easy.

Though you've seen a lot of it in his earlier films like Raat and Jungle, Ramu's handling of the subject still brings forth some frightening moments revealing them would be spoiling the fun.

Among the performances, Gautam Rode has an interesting presence.

Ravi Kale also impresses once again after his portrayal in Sarkar. The background score by Amar Mohile enhances the film to a great extent.
