Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has finally started shooting for Atul Manjrekar's Fanney Khan. The actor shot for 12 hours on Sunday, starting at 7 am. She reunited with her 'Hamara Dil Aaapke Paas Hai' co-star Anil Kapoor after 17 years and delivered her first shot with him. Bachchan plays a pop star in the movie, which is the official remake of Everybody's Famous (2000).

A source from the set tells mid-day, "They shot in Colaba. Aishwarya wore a black pantsuit with a grey and white long coat. Her first shot was with her manager [played by a character actor], in which she is seen arguing with him. She shot with Anil in the evening. It was a fun scene. Off the set, it was an emotional reunion for Anil and Ash, who are working together after many years. They reminisced about the old times."
The film, produced by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor, was to roll last month, but the schedule got affected due to multiple reasons. Bachchan refused to shoot because she wasn't satisfied with the outfits designed by Manish Malhotra. Following this, personal commitments kept her busy. The next schedule was fixed for October 26, which had to be cancelled after Rajkummar Rao, who plays Bachchan's fan in the film, fractured his leg.

The source says, "With the ongoing schedule, about 75 percent of the movie will be complete. Anil is done with most of his scenes, besides the ones that are to be shot with Ash and Rajkummar."
