Akriti Kakar's new single, Swag Wali Bride, is her reinterpretation of the Punjabi folk song, Sada Chiryan Da Chamba. It showcases how a modern-day bride's bidai (farewell) ceremony has become a quirky affair instead of an emotional one. "Though it's my take on the folk song, I have kept the originality intact. The song reflects the thoughts of a bride and her family members in the modern-day context," says Kakar. The song released today.
