The trailer of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari-starrer Alpha was released on Wednesday, June 16, 2026.  While the trailer has received mixed responses from users, it has also sparked a debate about plagiarism. Netizens pointed out the similarities between Alpha and The Boys in one of the scenes shown in the trailer. Others also found a similarity with a scene from Game of Thrones. Interestingly, this comes days after the film's teaser and poster faced similar accusations.

One of the most highlighted scenes in the trailer, Bobby Deol’s character is naming a child Sita and monitoring her from outside the cage. A user on Reddit pointed out that the scenes featuring a baby in a monitored cage look strikingly similar to Homelander’s in the iconic show, The Boys. A scene in The Boys explores the origin of Homelander, played by Antony Starr.
