The actor, who turned 31 Thursday, spent his day shooting for &ldquo;Guddu Rangeela&rdquo; and hopes the new year keeps him busy with quality work.
On his special day, he had a 5 a.m. call for shoot, and he believes &ldquo;it&rsquo;s a great gift&rdquo; to be able to have the kind of work that&rsquo;s coming his way.
&ldquo;It&rsquo;s been a great year for me...working with wonderful filmmakers and actors. There&rsquo;s been so much of learning and I just like to work hard,&rdquo; Amit told IANS over phone from Mumbai.
He&rsquo;s caught in the midst of shooting for &ldquo;Guddu Rangeela&rdquo; and promoting his forthcoming film &ldquo;RunningShaadi.com&rdquo;. Both films are as different as chalk and cheese.
&ldquo;All my roles have been different,&rdquo; says the actor, who made his Bollywood debut with the acclaimed 2013 film &ldquo;Kai Po Che&rdquo;, in which he played Omi Shastri.
In &ldquo;Guddu Rangeela&rdquo;, Amit essays a Haryanvi character against his &ldquo;young guy in a sweet love story&rdquo; in &ldquo;RunningShaadi.com&rdquo;, in which he stars opposite Taapsee Pannu.
Amit, who was injured while shooting for &ldquo;Guddu Rangeela&rdquo; in Shimla in mid-March is now also back on his feet, and he says his recovery period gave him a chance to chill, sit at home, read books, catch up on movies and with his friends.
Now, he&rsquo;s hoping to finish the shooting for the Subhash Kapoor-directorial, which he will wrap up in 10 to 15 days.
