Anubhav Sinha: ‘Want to make a film set in India of the 1940s’

After Assi, Anubhav Sinha is working on new ideas, having written two scripts and begun a third. He plans a break to write another, while also expressing interest in films set in 1940s India, inspired by historical narratives

New ideas and concepts have been buzzing around in Anubhav Sinha’s head ever since his last directorial venture, Assi, released in February. Now, as the Taapsee Pannu-starrer has begun streaming on Zee5, the director has moved on to narrowing down ideas for his next. “I have written two stories so far and am starting the third one. 

Then I am going for a chhutti, where I will write my fourth,” he told mid-day.
