Singer AR Ameen, the son of music composer AR Rahman, recently made news after he sustained minor injuries in a car accident in Chennai on Monday. He was rushed to the hospital but was later discharged within a few hours. After news of the accident broke, leaving fans worried, his sister, singer-composer Khatija Rahman, shared a statement explaining how the accident occurred. Later, AR Ameen also took to social media to share his statement and express gratitude to fans.

AR Ameen issues statement after car accident

In his statement, Ameen clarified that he was in the passenger seat and was not driving the car, contrary to what some reports stated. His statement shared on Instagram Stories read, “Yesterday, on the way to the airport, I was in the passenger seat of my friend's car when we got into a minor accident. By God's grace, everyone involved is safe and okay. All praises to the Almighty (EPI) for His grace and protection over all of us.”
