Fashion's crème de la crème gathered on Sunday at India Couture Week 2023 to watch Athiya take centre stage she turned showstopper for the esteemed designer Anamika Khanna. Athiya chose to wear an intricately embroidered cream dress with long sleeves, enhanced by stunning jewellery and towering heels. Her ravishing look was completed with a chic bun and sophisticated makeup.

In the era of social media, it wasn't long before a paparazzo's video of Athiya owning the ramp was shared on Instagram. Fans immediately flocked to comment on her performance. One fan noted, "She has a face of a model. Athiya is perfect for a model." Another added, "God, she slayed." The compliments kept rolling in, with one Instagram user lamenting, "It hurts my heart so much that she didn’t pursue modelling. She is a goddess."

Actor Ileana D'Cruz showed her admiration for Athiya with a post of her own. Sharing a clip of Athiya, Ileana wrote, "I mean this girl is just (hot face emoji) and walking for one of my fav designers @anamikakhanna.in you killed it Athu!!!" Athiya responded to this compliment with affection, replying, “Ilu (red heart emoji).”

Athiya's husband, KL Rahul, wasn't far behind in showering praises. He posted a clip of his wife striding the ramp with the caption, "My stunning wife (white heart emoji) @athiyashetty." Athiya shared her husband's post on her Instagram, reciprocating the love with the caption, "My whole heart (white heart emojis)."

Social media was abuzz with reactions to Athiya's show-stopping walk. One admirer confessed, "Athiya Shetty really chose the wrong industry to be in. She’s a born model," while another fan enthusiastically declared, "She really should’ve been a model! Athiya Shetty would’ve sure shot, been a supermodel!" The accolades kept coming, with one comment reading, "Hands down the best walk of all and entire fashion week," and another saying, "It seems she owns the stage when she does her ramp walk...woahhhh just awesommeeee."

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul exchanged wedding vows on January 23 this year at her father, actor Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala. The couple, who were in a relationship for three years before their marriage, shared their joy in a joint post, saying, "In your light, I learn how to love... 'Today, with our most loved ones, we got married in the home that's given us immense joy and serenity. With a heart full of gratitude and love, we seek your blessings on this journey of togetherness."

Athiya made her first foray into Bollywood in 2015 with the film Hero. She later starred in Mubarakan in 2017 and was last seen in Motichoor Chaknachoor in 2019. Despite her acting career, her recent walk at the India Couture Week 2023 has ignited a chorus of fans suggesting she would have been a natural fit for a modelling career.
