Days after the Battle of Galwan, director Apoorva Lakhia's Instagram story from the sets of the film with Amitabh Bachchan went viral. The filmmaker has now clarified the story behind the viral picture. He also refuted reports of Big B starring in the film

Salman Khan's upcoming war drama, Battle of Galwan, has been creating a lot of buzz since it was announced. Amid the growing anticipation, a photo shared a couple of days ago by director Apoorva Lakhia ignited a new wave of speculations. The filmmaker shared a picture from a set in which he was seen standing with megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The picture led to speculations about Big B's potential cameo or role in Salman Khan's Battle of Galwan. However, the filmmaker has now put all rumours to rest by clarifying that Amitabh Bachchan is not a part of his film.

For the unversed, Apoorva had shared a photo on his Instagram Stories with Amitabh Bachchan on Wednesday, writing, "Guess what he is telling me? legendonsetstoday (sic)." The photos sparked much discussion about a possible cameo, or a full-fledged role, in the upcoming Salman Khan-starrer.
However, the director has now told Hindustan Times that Bachchan is involved in the project. The director clarified, "No. He was shooting for a commercial in the opposite studio, so I went to meet him and said hello."
Notably, Amitabh Bachchan and Apoorva Lakhia have earlier collaborated on projects like Ek Ajnabee (2005) and Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost (2003). ON the other hand, Amitabh last shared screen with Salman 17 years ago in God Tussi Great Ho (2008).
Battle of Galwan cast
Battle of Galwan also stars Chitrangda Singh in the lead role opposite Salman. This means the audience will get to watch the fresh pairing of Chitrangda and Salman on the big screens for the first time. The film revolves around the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indo-Chinese troops, wherein Salman plays an Army officer, Colonel Santhosh Babu.
The movie also stars Abhilash Chaudhary, Ankur Bhatia, Vipin Bhardwaj, Abhishree Sen, Nirbhay Chaudhary, Siddharth Mooley, and Zeyn Shaw in key roles. Reports also suggest that Govinda will also be seen in the film. Adding fuel to the reports, when Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja appeared on Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman teased that he is going to work with his Partner co-star soon.
