Sunny Deol-starrer Border 2 is all set to release in theatres on January 23. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film also stars Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh, and Medha Rana in pivotal roles. Inspired by the 1971 India-Pakistan War, the film is backed by JP Dutta’s daughter, Nidhi Dutta. JP Dutta had earlier directed Border, which released in 1997.

Expensive Border 2 


Advance bookings for Border 2 have opened just days ahead of its release. The most expensive ticket currently is at Maison INOX, Jio World Plaza, BKC, Mumbai. The theatre has two shows on Friday — at 5.40 pm and 9.45 pm — where tickets are priced at Rs 2,310. Both shows feature recliner seating, with all seats priced above Rs 2,000.



Border 2 runtime is over 3 hours?

It was earlier reported that the film would have a runtime of over three hours. Border 2 officially clocks in at 3 hours and 19 minutes. With this, the film joins the list of long-runtime releases such as Dhurandhar, Pushpa 2, Animal and The RajaSaab, all of which crossed the three-hour mark and went on to become major box-office blockbusters.

About the Border 2 trailer

Inspired by true events from the 1971 India-Pakistan War, the trailer of Border 2 offers a powerful glimpse into the world of the Indian armed forces, showcasing the Army, Navy and Air Force fighting as one. Mounted on a massive scale, the visuals feature battalions charging into battle, naval forces dominating the seas and fighter jets tearing through the skies, creating a grand and immersive action spectacle.

At the core of the narrative stands Sunny Deol, delivering hard-hitting dialogues with a towering screen presence. He is joined by Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty in intense, battle-scarred avatars, portraying stories of valour, courage and sacrifice from the historic war.

Beyond the action, the trailer also highlights the emotional journeys of soldiers and their families. It weaves together the personal stories of Sunny Deol and Mona Singh, Varun Dhawan and Medha Rana, Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa, and Ahan Shetty and Ananya Singh, while shedding light on the emotional strength of the women waiting back home.
