When Australian-Indian musician Celina Sharma finished recording her latest single, Centre of Peace, she felt it needed something more. Additional vocals, perhaps. And the singer-songwriter could only think of one person — Sonu Nigam. “I wanted to bring a little bit of my Indian side as well. Sonu Nigam came to my mind because he is such a legend. I felt he could elevate the song and bring his special touch to it,” Sharma told mid-day.
Nigam was happy to lend his vocals to the emotional song that explores themes of healing and self-discovery. In Sharma’s words, he took it to “another level” just as she had expected. “Especially with his ad-libs and the little touches he added. That was amazing,” she marvelled.
