MTV Indies out, MTV Beats in A decade after it went on the tube as a platform for independent music in India, MTV Indies is making way for another massy channel, MTV Beats. MTV Indies will cater to the indie music subculture purely through the digital platform. MTV Beats will cater to “eclectic music tastes” but will predominantly focus on Bollywood songs. The channel spokesperson refused to comment on the development.
