While the Dhawans prefer to stay mum about Varun's wedding, their recent public outings are enough tell-tale signs!

On Tuesday, David Dhawan was spotted at a Juhu salon. Looks like the filmmaker was preparing himself for son Varun’s impending nuptials. He stepped out with his hair coloured. Earlier, he was seen at designer Manish Malhotra’s store. Enough tell-tale signs, but the Dhawans prefer to stay mum about the wedding.
Varun Dhawan is set to tie the knot with his long-time girlfriend, fashion designer Natasha Dalal, on Sunday, according to sources close to the family. The wedding will be on January 24 as per Hindu rituals in presence of family and close friends in a resort in Alibaug. The wedding was originally planned for May 2020 but due to COVID-19 pandemic, it was pushed to 2021. Contrary to reports that the wedding will be a three-day affair, complete with mehndi, sangeet and reception, mid-day has learnt that the Dhawans have planned a one-day celebration with the Shaadi during the day and a low-key reception in the evening.

A guest invited to the nuptials reveals that the family has drawn out a guest list of 50, as per safety restrictions. Needless to say, Varun's mentor Karan Johar, and idol Salman Khan will be present at the do. It is heard that the guests will board private yachts from Gateway of India to head to Mandwa jetty. From there, private cars will escort them to the beach resort booked out for the ceremony.
"The wedding will see only the families and the couple's school friends in attendance. Last week, the families sent e-invites for the reception. Shah Rukh Khan may not be able to make it as he is shooting for Pathan in a bio-bubble. Other guests include Varun's directors Remo D'Souza and Shashank Khaitan, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra, and Vashu Bhagnani. Since David is diabetic and suffered a heart attack in 2013, sons Varun and Rohit don't want to risk his health by having a grand reception," says the source.
While Varun's wedding outfit will be designed by couturier friend Kunal Rawal, Dalal will wear her own creation.

Dhawan and Dalal did their schooling together and have been in a long-term relationship. While on Koffee With Karan show, when Varun was asked about Natasha, he said, "I'm with her because she has her own individuality, she has her own voice which is super strong with things she wants to do and things she wants to achieve in life. And, as her partner, that is something I want to support, you know. And, she has been so supportive where my career is concerned, always, from day one actually."
