Bombay Rockers' track Ari Ari remixed
The revived and remixed version of Ari Ari is composed, arranged and programmed by Shashwat Sachdev with pumped-up vocals by Navtej Singh Rehal (Bombay Rockers), Khan Saab, Jasmine Sandlas and Sudhir Yaduvanshi. The track’s catchy rap is performed and written by Reble and the American rapper and singer, Token. With lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil and Bombay Rockers, and score produced by Adam Lucas, Ari Ari adds to the fever-pitch of Dhurandhar The Revenge’s high-intensity action.
Not many know that the original Ari Ari was created by the Danish-Indian music duo Bombay Rockers and was released around 2007 as part of their debut album Introducing. The track features a unique mix of Punjabi folk music and modern beats, and was inspired by the traditional Punjabi folk tune Baari Barsi, which was tuned with hip-hop style rhythms. This refreshing combination made the song a standout during the early-2000s Punjabi-pop era.
Now, roughly two decades later, the viral track has been brought back in Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar The Revenge trailer. This remixed version carries the spirit of the original song, but elevates it with modern production and rap elements - and that is exactly why it fits with the high-intensity action of the film.
