Drishyam 3: Ajay Devgn reveals why he called Mohanlal for approval: 'I wanted him to...'

Actor Ajay Devgn revealed that he called Malayalam superstar Mohanlal to watch Drishyam: The Conclusion and sought his approval. He also said the new script brings his character Vijay Salgaonkar's story to an end, with twists, turns and shock value expected from the franchise.

Bollywood star Ajay Devgn is all set to reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar in Drishyam: The Conclusion. The makers have confirmed it as the final instalment of the franchise and have also revealed that it won't be the same as Mohanlal's Drishyam 3. Recently, during a discussion at FICCI Frames, Ajay revealed that he called Mohanlal for his approval on Drishyam 3. However, the Malayalam superstar was not available to watch the film.

Recalling his conversation with Mohanlal, Ajay shared, "In fact, I called up Lal (Mohanlal) sir, not him, because I wanted him to see the film. Like he (Alok Jain) said that they do such a great job, and this time we have deviated completely. So, for me, I thought that some kind of approval from him would be nice. I wanted him to see the film, but he is on holiday. It is very sweet that he kept interacting. I think he is going to watch the film soon there."
