The makers of Ek Din hosted a musical evening in Mumbai titled Ek Din ki Mehfil last month. The event, which featured live performances, celebrated the film and its music ahead of its release. However, post the event, Sai Pallavi was severely trolled as she struggled to speak in Hindi while addressing the audience. Amid that, many social media users also raised questions about her casting as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana: Part I. After the backlash, Sai Pallavi recently revealed she felt she was 'miscast' in Ek Din, which was backed by Aamir Khan.

During the conversations, she shared, "I don't think I was meant to do this, and I think I am miscast. I feel so; I think it should have been a new person who had a little bit of flamboyance."
