Farhan Akhtar has opted out of his home production, 'Raees', to be directed by Rahul Dholakia due to date issues.

The actor-director was supposed to play a cop&rsquo;s role in the film that stars Shah Rukh Khan. The project was supposed to go on the floors in September, but according to sources, due to SRK&rsquo;s injury the shoot has been pushed to October.
Farhan had already committed to Bejoy Nambiar&rsquo;s film that co-stars Amitabh Bachchan and is being produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. So now Farhan will only be co-producing 'Raees', and let someone else do the cop&rsquo;s role.
