A Byculla restaurant serves Lakhan jhakkas biryani inspired by Anil Kapoor's cook's recipe
While city folk have been relishing Sanju Baba chicken served at a Bhindi Bazaar eatery for decades, it appears the dish will face competition from Lakhan jhakkas biryani, a new introduction to a Byculla outlet. Taking inspiration from Anil Kapoor's role in Ram Lakhan, the dish was introduced in the restaurant's New Year menu. The recipe has apparently been shared by the actor's former chef.

A source says, "The chef had mastered this dish. The chicken is cooked in garam masala. The spices are understated, and the chillies are infused in the marination itself."
Kapoor is glad that his character is remembered after several years. "I've heard about this dish. It [news] left me surprised. I am happy that the character is loved so much."
