Filmmaker R Balki is currently gearing up for the release of his film 'Chup: Revenge of the Artist'. Headlined by Dulquer Salmaan, Sunny Deol, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Pooja Bhatt, the film has already created intrigue among the audience. Ahead of the release of the film, in theatres, Balki has announced that they will be organizing free screenings for the audience. The special public screening will be free of cost.
The special public screening will be organized three days before the release in 10 cities including Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Lucknow, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. Making the announcement, R Balki in a video said, “I am here to invite you for a very special preview, which is actually a freeview, so please come and watch the movie for free 3 days before its release in a few select cities. Traditionally, most films have been shown to the critics and the film industry before the audience. For the first time ever, the audience will get to see a film before anybody else. The audience will pass their opinion of the film before anybody else. So please block your seats and tell us aapko Chup kaisi lagi. We would really like to know!”

The film is touted as a romantic psychopath thriller. It is said that the film is a homage to master filmmaker Guru Dutt and his 1959 classic 'Kaagaz Ke Phool'.
The screenplay and dialogues of 'Chup: Revenge of Artist' have been co-written by Balki and critic-turned-writer Raja Sen and Rishi Virmani. With music by composer Amit Trivedi and Vishal Sinha credited as the film's director of photography (DOP), 'Chup: Revenge of Artist' is co-produced by Pranab Kapadia and Anirudh Sharma. The film will be released in theatres on September 23, 2022.
