Yami Gautam, who tied the knot with Uri: The Surgical Strike director Aditya Dhar earlier this year, celebrates her 33rd birthday today. Unlike 2021, the coming year will be packed with films for Yami. The actress has four movies releasing in 2022, three of which have wrapped up shooting. OMG - Oh My God! 2 shoot was recently stalled after seven members from the crew tested positive. Let's take a look at her slate of upcoming films.

Dasvi is a social comedy produced by the makers of Hindi Medium, Angrezi Medium and Bala. Having credits in films like Barfi!, Padmaavat and RamLeela, Tushar Jalota makes his directorial debut with Dasvi that features Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles. Ritesh Shah of Pink fame has written the script of Dasvi.

A Thursday

A Thursday is a thriller that revolves around a playschool teacher named Naina Jaiswal, played by Yami Gautam, who takes 16 toddlers as hostages. Announcing the official wrap and thanking the kids, Yami shared a post and wrote, "It's an official wrap for my film, 'A Thursday' which wouldn't have been possible without these cutest kids who made this challenging film feel less heavier owing to their adorable presence. Together, with this team we've created so many priceless memories. I am going to reserve my thank you' for later, Behzad. This film is very special to us! Hope it touches you the same way it touched us!" The film also stars Dimple Kapadia, Neha Dhupia and Atul Kulkarni. Directed by Behzad Khambata, the film will get a digital release.

Lost is an investigative drama that will see Yami Gautam essaying a feisty crime reporter in Kolkata. Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, the film talks about media integrity. Yami wrapped up her shooting schedule for the film in August and said that parting ways with the 'City of Joy' Kolkata and the film's team made her emotional. "As I wrap up 'Lost' today, I reminisce the lovely moments I experienced while working on this special film with a big smile in my heart. A big thank you to the entire cast and crew of 'Lost', who as days went by, became part of this journey. My heartfelt gratitude to Tony da who is not only one of the most incredible directors I've worked with but also and amazing human being. A film like ‘Lost’ can only be directed by someone who has the purest intentions! We faced many challenges with the weather, the chaos of shooting at live locations, the battles of shooting at congested places in covid times... but we stuck together as a team & it was all worth it in the end. My gratitude to dada's lovely wife, Indrani ma’am for all the warmth & unmatched hospitality and for feeding me the most amazing home cooked Bengali food everyday so that I didn't miss home. I'd also like to thank Avik da, a genius at cinematography and his team along with the absolutely brilliant direction and production teams," she wrote on Instagram. The film also stars Pankaj Kapur, Rahul Khanna and an ensemble of younger talent, including Neil Bhoopalam, Pia Bajpiee, Tushar Pandey, in pivotal roles.

OMG – Oh My God! 2

Yami Gautam shares screen with Akshay Kumar in the sequel of MOG - Oh My God. The film is a satirical comedy-drama directed by Amit Rai and also features Paresh Rawal and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles. In the first poster of the film, Akshay Kumar can be seen donning Lord Shiva’s avatar. He had said that this is their humble attempt to reflect on an important social issue. The filming briefly hit a roadblock when seven members of the crew tested positive for Covid-19.
