Actress to appear in a music video to help raise environmental awareness

Priyanka Chopra is part of the NDTV Greenathon initiative, which aims to create awareness about the environment. As a part of the initiative, she is set to appear in an animated music video. This is the first time PC has appeared in one.

Light, entertaining
The Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy trio has composed a song called Green Anthem. The idea was to involve the young audience into participating in the initiative. A source says, "The idea of the video was not to be preachy and force their views upon others but to be entertaining and light."

Describing the concept, the source adds, "As the centre of the campaign, PC is depicted as being in a surreal spaceu00a0-- a polluted, dry, barren landscape. She is in despair, looking for a solution. Just then, she sees a green sapling sprouting out of the cracked earth. She hands it to a little girlu00a0-- an angel who runs into the real world and hands the sapling to a bunch of ordinary, carefree young people."

These youngsters, inspired by the little girl and the sapling they hold in their hands, start running to create change. They hand out saplings to people and urge them to think of the impact of their actions. As these people take small steps in the right direction, Priyanka's world begins to change for the better. The little girl comes back to her and together they celebrate their triumph.

The video will air on Feb 17 at 9 pm on NDTV 24x7.
