Former Miss India and actress Gul Panag will now be seen in a new avatar of a crusader disseminating awareness about social evils like female foeticide and drug addiction.

She has joined hands with the Chandigarh administration for this endeavour. The health department here has enrolled a city-based NGO Shamsher Singh Foundation under the ongoing partnership initiative programme of Chandigarh administration, said officials here Thursday.

Gul, founder member of this NGO, has signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the health department to work in this direction.
