Aamir Khan and director Ashutosh Gowariker’s upcoming film, a biopic on legendary cricketer Lala Amarnath, is reportedly titled Lalkaar. The sports drama is set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition, with production expected to begin in October 2026. The title is said to evoke memories of Lagaan while signalling a fresh, emotionally driven cricket saga. The project marks Aamir and Gowariker’s first collaboration in 25 years since their Oscar-nominated 2001 classic Lagaan.
