Rs 100 crore Sitaare box office par
Aamir Khan seems to have redeemed himself. Sitaare Zameen Par, which registered a modest opening of R10.70 crore, has reportedly crossed the R100 mark at the box office within nine days of its release. The RS Prasanna-directed dramedy about a group of neuro-divergent basketball students showing a way of life to an arrogant coach has approximately earned R121 crore in India. The movie’s box office success will be a huge relief to the superstar, whose last two films — Laal Singh Chaddha (2022) and Thugs of Hindostan (2018) — bombed at the box office. To celebrate the film’s success and its critical reception, the actor has reportedly decided to release a documentary showcasing the journey of each of the 10 neuro-divergent individuals from their childhood to bagging their screen debut with Aamir’s film.
Biopic on my mind
Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi Sinha says she’s eager to explore new challenges and would love to take on a biopic. “I’ve done very few period films — Lootera (2013) and Heeramandi (2024) — but never a biopic. I’d love to do that,” she shared in a chat with IANS. Reflecting on her choices, she added, “I don’t want to do something I’ve already done or can do in my sleep. I want roles that challenge me and push me to my limits.” On not being part of Son of Sardaar 2, Sonakshi said she respects the change in direction. “The story and characters are different, and that’s completely fair. It doesn’t affect me at all.”
