If Alia Bhatt’s choc-a-block schedule in the coming months is any indication, it appears as if she couldn’t have got a more appropriate window to tie the knot with Ranbir Kapoor. Currently filming Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh, the actor is slated to head to London soon, to shooting for her Hollywood project, Heart Of Stone. Starring and produced by Gal Gadot, director Tom Harper and team have long begun shooting in the UK. The Gangubai Kathiawadi actor has a parallel role in the spy thriller, which she will be filming till the end of August. Come September, Alia joins Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Katrina Kaif for Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zaraa, which will be shot across India. Alia will fulfill her work commitments for this year before taking off for a year-end holiday with hubby Ranbir. Early next year, she reunites with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ranveer for Baiju Bawra.

Celebrating Momma’s day

Katrina Kaif’s mother Suzanne Turquotte turned a year older yesterday. The Tiger 3 actor and her siblings celebrated the special day with her. Sharing pictures of her mother and their fam-jam, Kat wrote, “Happy 70th mama. May you always live life with the joy and courage that you do… surrounded by your very noisy kids.” The post got several reactions from her industry colleagues. Her Zero co-star Anushka Sharma commented, “This is so cute,” while her director dost Farah Khan Kunder commented, “That’s beautiful… like her.”

A very filmi beginning

Talking of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, we hear the Gully Boy actors will be the first guests on the new season of Karan Johar’s chat show. Though initial reports indicated that Alia and Ranbir Kapoor would together kick off the seventh season of Koffee with Karan, it looks like that isn’t happening for reasons best known to them. As for Ranveer and Alia launching the new avatar of the new season on a streaming platform, it’s not too surprising. After all, they are the lead actors of the show host and filmmaker KJo’s next directorial venture, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

Love in London

So, Amy Jackson has found a new love. The 2.0 actor, who broke up with George Panayiotou last year, is said to be dating Gossip Girl star, Ed Westwick. Pictures of her and Ed, holding hands while walking on the streets of London, have gone viral. While there’s no official word from either of them, sources say it appears like Amy and Ed — who first met at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea International Film Festival last December — are serious. Amy and George, who got engaged in January 2019 and had their child, Andreas Jax Panayiotou in September 2019, were planning to get married a year later. But the wedding was deferred due to the pandemic. However, last July, she deleted all his pictures from social media, triggering reports of a split.

A hero indeed

A hero indeed

Over the last two years, Sonu Sood has become a real-life hero for the common man. However, he hasn’t always been able to meet people he has helped, preferring to just do his deed and move on. Recently, when the family of a girl he had helped learnt that the Acharya actor was in Shirdi, they went to thank him personally. Reportedly, the girl, Janhvi, was suffering from a spinal disorder since birth, due to which she couldn’t even stand properly. The specialist had suggested surgery, costing R8 lakh, which her father couldn’t bear. They managed to connect with Sonu, who expedited the process and has been in touch with the family ever since. So when they heard he was in the temple town, the girl went with her father to thank him for being her angel. “It fills my heart with joy to watch the young Janhvi stand on her own and even walk! Watching her smile made all our efforts worth it. I wish her all the best for life,” beamed the actor.

Gaurav Arora, who gained kilos for the web show, Asur, had to get  into shape for his new series, Aadha Ishq. During the transformation, he suffered a few injuries, but didn’t let that deter him. He says, “Gaining that weight for Asur took a toll on me. While training for Aadha Ishq, I suffered two slipped discs and three ligament tears which made it even more challenging. But as they say, the show must go on and I powered through it.”

On a sequel spree

It seems Ajay Devgn is on a roll, as far as sequels are concerned. The actor is currently in Goa, filming Drishyam 2 with Tabu and Akshaye Khanna. The Runway 34 actor, who has also begun Bholaa, the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit, Kaithi, is reportedly planning its second installment. If that’s not enough, a spin-off of his 2019 romcom, De De Pyaar De, is also in the works. “I think they are writing the script. Let’s see when,” Ajay was quoted as saying when asked if there were any plans, given the hint in the movie’s climax. And not to forget, he is also slated to begin Rohit Shetty’s Singham 3 this December.
