In the food business

After battling obesity and going through a remarkable physical transformation, Arjun Kapoor has a new-found respect for nutritious food. So much so that the actor is now planning to turn it into a business venture. “People have been kind enough to notice my transformation. My fitness journey has not only changed the way I look at food, nutrition, and fitness, but it has also changed the way people look at me. I want to be a part of ventures that are aiming to revolutionise the fitness space,” says Kapoor, who has already started talking to people about his venture.

Do it like Pannu

Actors often go through a transformation for the characters they play on screen. Taapsee Pannu experienced a similar journey for her sports films — Shabaash Mithu and Rashmi Rocket. The actor showed off her ripped athletic physique from a training session at a sports stadium in her latest Instagram post. Several complimented her on her ‘mardana’ physique, to which Pannu responded that it is a compliment she has “worked really hard for”.

Whitewashing much!

A biographical docu-series on the life of Salman Khan is in the works. Produced by SKF Films in tandem with Wiz Films and Applause Entertainment, the show is set to pan across Khan’s three-decade career and the ups and downs of his life. The prep for it has already begun, as makers are collating interviews of near and dear ones. One can’t help but wonder if this will be another whitewashing project, like Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, Sanju (2018), directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Or will it be a tell-all that will include his infamous hit-and-run case? Only time will tell.

Let the party begin

The awesome foursome — Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania, Meher Vij and Pooja Chopra — have wrapped up the last schedule of Kamal Pandey’s Jahaan Chaar Yaar in Goa. The four have often been seen sneaking off to explore the beaches in the state. To celebrate the bond, on the last day, they brought the roof down with a party. The whole team was spotted revelling in high spirits, to mark the occasion.

Roping in Manisha Koirala

Early in March, Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal announced their production house, Pushing Buttons with their first film, Girls Will Be Girls. Barely a few months later, the couple is ready to announce their next production, written by Bishal Paul and Angshuman Biswas. It is reportedly a political thriller, which will trace the journey of a Dalit female who becomes India’s first woman NSA (National Security Adviser). The couple is in talks with Manisha Koirala for the central role in the series.

Birthday shenanigans

Alia and Pooja Bhatt threw an intimate party to celebrate father Mahesh Bhatt birthday, who turned 73 on Monday. Ranbir Kapoor joined the birthday shenanigans to give the complete family feel. With the duo attending each other’s family functions, guess it’s only a matter of time before the two families meet officially for the shaadi talk.

Bebo has been keeping her fans abreast of their activities during the vacation as she posted pictures of her family snorkeling and boating. But today, fans got talking about a post of her younger son, Jehangir Ali Khan. “Forever mood…(sic.)” she wrote, showcasing her youngest, fussing at the breakfast table. It’s impossible to deny that little Jeh looks like the younger version of his paparazzi-loving older brother Taimur Ali Khan. Do you agree?
