My World

After cousin Rhea Kapoor’s wedding, Arjun Kapoor realised “how quickly life changes.” He shared pictures with sisters Anshula, Janhvi and Khushi and wrote, “There are several variables and possibilities on the horizon for all of us, but what keeps us grounded always is one constant — brothers and sisters.” He added, “As long as I can remember, my siblings have been everything in my life, and may that always continue.”

Bro Zone

Kiara Advani extended rakhi greetings to her “four beautiful baby bros” — Mishaal Advani, Nirvaan Aggarwal, Ishan Advani and Ishita Advani. She shared a throwback picture from her birthday celebrations and wrote, “I love you more than you can imagine. God bless you, monkeys.”

Bhai ho to aisa: Riddhima Kapoor

Sahni wished brother Ranbir by calling him “the best.” The two had a pre-Raksha Bandhan celebration in New Delhi when RK was shooting in the capital for Luv Ranjan’s film alongside Shraddha Kapoor.

Knock at the door

Sara Ali Khan penned a rhyme for brother Ibrahim to mark the festive occasion. “Happy rakhi, Iggy Potter. Time to meet the annoying daughter. My jokes embarrass you, full slaughter. But I promise to love you and give you water.” She also posted a video in which she is seen irritating him with her trademark hilarious knock-knock jokes.

Nothing without her

Akshay Kumar’s sister Alka is his “go-to person” whenever he is facing a dilemma. The superstar says that she has “stood by him, corrected him when wrong and the happiest for his achievements.” The Khiladi shared a throwback picture and added, “The most selfless person I know. I wouldn’t have been the person I am without you.”

Pillar of strength

Yami Gautam provided yet another glimpse of her hush-hush wedding by posting a picture with brother Ojas from the ceremony. “Helping me take a leap towards my next step, my little Ojas, I didn’t realise you grew up so fast. Holding hands and being each other’s strength and support forever and ever,” the actor wrote. Gautam tied the knot with Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019) director Aditya Dhar in Manali in June.

Bollywood style

Tusshar wished sister Ekta Kapoor in true Bollywood fashion by posting the song, Phoolon ka taron ka sabka kehna hai, ek hazaron mein meri behna hai, from Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971).

Big sister

Karan Kapadia wrote that he has two “incredible sisters” Twinkle Khanna and Rinke. Karan is Dimple Kapadia’s late sister, Simple’s son. Twinkle calls Karan, who was seen in Durgamati (2020) and Blank (2019), her baby bro.

Traditional touch

Madhuri Dixit-Nene shared a video on Instagram of the traditional rituals as she tied the rakhi on brother Ajit Dixit’s wrist. She chose Behna ne bhai ki kalai se from Resham Ki Dori (1959) as the background score.

The plot thickens

Shweta Bachchan Nanda and brother Abhishek are always either “plotting or posing.” Shweta captioned the picture with Junior B, “My kindred.”

Who’s the fittest?

Randeep Hooda played to the cameras with nutritionist and obesity expert sister Anjali Hooda Sangwan and wrote, “We all know who’s been protecting whom.” She guides him in his fitness routine.
