Farah tests positive

On Wednesday, Farah Khan revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19. The choreographer-filmmaker shared the news on social media. Khan informed that she had been administered the two doses of the jab and “was working with mostly double vaccinated people.” She was taken aback when told that she had contracted the Coronavirus as she had been taking the necessary precautions. “I have already informed everyone I came in contact with to get tested,” she posted. “However, if I have forgotten someone (because of old age and fading memory), please test yourself. I am hoping to recover soon,” she added. Khan had been making celebrity appearances on reality shows. Last Friday, she shot for Kaun Banega Crorepati 13 at Film City with Deepika Padukone. The two will be seen on the hot seat in the Shaandar Shukravaar episode of the Amitabh Bachchan-hosted show. Over the weekend, Khan shot for Super Dancer 4 on which Shilpa Shetty is one of the judges.

Mika steps in

Mika Singh

Mika Singh has replaced Farah Khan as a mentor on the Zee Comedy Show. On Tuesday, Khan skipped the shoot of the sketch comedy at Chitrarth Studios, Powai, as she was unwell and awaiting her COVID-19 test report. She will be taking two weeks off and will be back on the set after she completes her quarantine. This weekend’s episodes will feature Khan as she had shot for it earlier with celebrity guests, Rajpal Yadav and Bhagyashree. Singh will be seen on the weekend show from September 11.

Even before her Bollywood launchpad, Bunty Aur Babli 2, co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukerji and Siddhant Chaturvedi, hits the screens, newcomer Sharvari has been bagging endorsement deals. Turn it off

Karan Johar and Shanaya Kapoor

A day after he shared a commercial featuring protégé Shanaya Kapoor, Karan Johar disabled comments to the post on Twitter. This was his way of shutting down naysayers after he was brutally trolled for promoting star kids. Maheep and Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter also faced the wrath of social media users. Last year, in the wake of the nepotism and favouritism debate, KJo had not only turned off the comments section but also stayed away from social media for months.
