Almost six months after he was born, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan have not only revealed their second-born’s name but also don’t mind the tot getting papped. On Friday, it was family get-together time at Randhir Kapoor’s Bandra home. The paparazzi got a first glimpse of Jehangir, or Jeh as he is affectionately called, in his nanny’s lap in the car.

Bebo and Saif have re-hired the nanny who looked after Taimur when he was born. It looks like they only trust her when it comes to looking after baby number two as well. As soon as they got off the car, Saif was seen carrying Jeh in his arms. It was the kid’s first public appearance, and elder brother Taimur led the way.

Remembering Sridevi

On Friday, Janhvi Kapoor marked Sridevi’s 58th birth anniversary by sharing a throwback picture on Instagram. Remembering her late mother, she wrote, “Happy birthday, mumma. I miss you. Everything is for you... always... every single day. I love you.”

Younger sister Khushi also shared a photograph of Sridevi and wrote, “Miss you every day.” Boney Kapoor, who had been shooting in New Delhi for Luv Ranjan’s untitled film, flew back to Mumbai. Last evening, the family organised a puja at their Lokhandwala home.

Sister love

Ranbir Kapoor caught up with New Delhi-based sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and cousin Nitasha Nanda on Thursday. Looks like he had some time off from the shoot of Luv Ranjan’s untitled film. RK has been in the capital for almost a month shooting for the rom-com. Riddhima described it as a “a pre-rakhi dinner.” They Face-timed mother Neetu Kapoor as they were missing “mama bear.”

Festival joy

The Shabana Azmi, Swara Bhasker and Divya Dutta-starrer Sheer Qorma will have its India premiere on September 1 at the Bengaluru International Short Film Festival, the Oscar?-qualifying short film festival in the country. “It is so important for the film, which champions queer narratives, to get this recognition from a mainstream Indian film festival,” says director Faraz Arif Ansari.

Bharat darshan continues

Barely two days after returning to Mumbai from Srinagar, Aamir Khan took off again for another shooting schedule of Laal Singh Chaddha in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. He will also be shooting in the surrounding areas. Advait Chandan’s directorial venture will provide a Bharat darshan considering it has been filmed across the country.

Evening stroll

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas have been taking walks in Notting Hill without their entourage or security personnel, much to the delight of fans. The couple is often stopped for selfies, and they have been obliging one and all. Sometimes PeeCee’s mother Madhu Chopra accompanies them. Last week, Nick flew into London to spend quality time with wifey dearest, who is tied up with her work commitments.

KJo’s astrologer in credit roll!

This is probably a first — an astrologer obtaining credit for guiding a film unit. Producer Karan Johar and team Shershaah’s astro-consultant, Balu Munnangi’s name figures prominently in the opening credits of the Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani-starrer, which dropped digitally on Thursday. ‘Special thanks to Balu Munnangi’ it reads (inset).

Apart from the lead actors, director Vishnuvardhan and writer Sandeep Srivastava have also consulted him. Hyderabad-based Munnangi is B-Town’s latest go-to astrologer and palmist. He has also been offering advice to Ajay Devgn. Ahead of Shershaah’s release, KJo had taken to social media to thank Munnangi for his “unconditional support and guidance,” who told the filmmaker, “Amazing things are on the way.” Tell, KJo, tell.

Birthday cheer

Sara Ali Khan marked her 26th birthday on Thursday by spreading happiness in the lives of pandemic orphans. She has teamed up with the Kailash Satyarthi Children Foundation for the cause. “Birthdays are always about excitement, positivity, and love. While I celebrate, my heart goes out to the kids who have lost their loved ones,” she said. The actor added, “I don’t think there is anything we can do to bring back what they have lost, but I am trying to give them a slightly better and more hopeful future.”
