Have you heard? Kareena Kapoor Khan's New Year resolution fails

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Barely three days into 2022, and Kareena Kapoor Khan, like most of us, has already broken her New Year resolution of eating right. Bebo couldn’t resist a freshly baked croissant. “It was supposed to be an eat healthy first Monday of the year and blah blah, but it’s a croissant, so just go for it.” She told fans to live their lives to the fullest. “Do what your heart desires. It’s 2022... make the most of it.”

Positive but no symptoms

Alaya F revealed that she tested positive but displayed no symptoms. The Jawaani Jaaneman (2020) actor undertook the RT-PCR test ahead of a vacation. She was under quarantine at her Versova home. Pooja Bedi’s daughter tested negative on January 1. “Do not take it lightly,” Alaya posted.

Despite the precautions

Ekta Kapoor contracted the Coronavirus “despite taking all the precautions.” On Monday, the producer posted, “I am fine, and I request all those who came in contact with me to please test themselves.” Kapoor is in isolation at her Juhu Scheme home.

John, Priya under quarantine

John Abraham and wife Priya Runchal are COVID-19 positive. They have mild symptoms and are under quarantine at their Bandra home. “Three days ago, I came in contact with someone who I later learnt was COVID-19 positive. Please stay well, healthy and mask up,” informed the actor-producer on Monday. He added that they are double vaccinated.

Dropping hints

Rumoured lovebirds Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda rang in 2022 in Goa. The South actors who are Bollywood-bound with Mission Majnu and Liger: Saala Crossbreed respectively did not post pictures together. But Vijay’s actor brother Anand and Mandanna shared photographs against the backdrop of a swimming pool (above), a clear giveaway that they were at the same place. The two maintain that they are just friends.

It started with a high fever

Over the weekend, Delnaaz Irani underwent the virus test after she developed a high fever. The actor, who is shooting for the TV show, Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey, was particular about following the safety guidelines on the set “but guess COVID spares none,” she said. The set is being  fumigated and sterilised as per the required protocol.

Prem Chopra hospitalised

Prem Chopra, 86, was hospitalised after testing positive. The veteran actor’s wife, Uma, has also contracted the infectious disease. The two are in Lilavati Hospital. “They have received the monoclonal antibody cocktail treatment and are recuperating well,” informed pulmonologist Dr Jalil Parkar.

Staying safe

Akriti Kakar was in Nassau in the Bahamas for a year-end gig. The singer left for Mumbai immediately after the show due to the rising Omicron scare. “I was cautious as I was with my mom [Nirmal]. We had planned a halt in New York but cancelled it due to the prevailing situation,” said the Saturday Saturday crooner.

Here comes the bride

Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya makes her music video debut with Babul da vehda. Best remembered as Ishita in the long-running show, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, she was later seen as a participant on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. The television star features as a bride in Babul da vehda.

The Hindi-Punjabi track is sung by Asees Kaur, who rendered the chartbuster Raataan lambiyan in the Sidharth Malhotra- starrer Shershaah (2020). The romantic number, penned by lyricist Kumaar, is composed by the Meet Brothers duo, Manmeet Singh and Harmeet Singh. It was shot in a village in Punjab.
