The Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-starrer Tiger 3 has been gaining traction since bookings started earlier this month. According to trade circuit projections, Maneesh Sharma’s directorial venture has sold about four lakh tickets for the first day on Sunday. This festival outing is said to be among the top five films of 2023 across national multiplex chains, so far. While Salman and Katrina have collaborated on several films over the years, Tiger 3 marks their first Diwali release together. The superstar, who returns as the super spy Avinash Rathore aka Tiger, considers the film special. Salman says, “It is always special to have a release in Diwali because I have fond memories of how the festival has always blessed me with good luck. As co-stars, Katrina and I have done films that have been loved by many people. So, if we can give them the best Diwali with Tiger 3, we would be humbled.” The leading lady, who reprises her spy character and Tiger’s equal half Zoya, adds, “Diwali has always been a festival all about celebration. For me, it is a festival of togetherness, love, light, celebrating our families, and bonds of friendship. This year’s festival of lights is extra special because I have my first release with Salman in Tiger 3, a film that is about triumph over evil. We look forward to entertaining everyone and adding even more joy and excitement to the festivities.”

The release of Jaragandi, the first song from Ram Charan’s Game Changer with director Shankar, has been deferred. Initially, the makers were slated to unveil the teaser on Friday. However, things didn’t pan out as planned. Fans have been expressing disappointment over the multiple delays the film has gone through. More so as the trailer for Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2, which the director is accused of prioritising over Game Changer, is already out. To calm the raging fans, the producers of the film issued a statement on social media, saying, “Due to studio documentation issues between different firms, the release of the Jaragandi song from Game Changer stands postponed. We will be back with an update at a later date.” The makers promised that the film would be worth the wait. “The team is working nonstop to entertain you with unmatched quality,” the makers added. Ram plays an IAS officer in this action drama set against a contemporary political backdrop, with Kiara Advani as his leading lady.

In his 27-year journey so far, Arshad Warsi has proven his versatility on screen time and again. He owes it all to his beginnings as a dancer and choreographer before Jaya Bachchan selected him for his big break in AB Corp’s Tere Mere Sapne (1996). While Arshad has been a judge on the dance reality show Zara Nachke Dikha (2010), the 11th season of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa holds a special place. Calling it surreal, Arshad says, “When I go in flashback, it just feels like it was all meant to be. I always had a special place for dance, and life gave me the chance to get associated with it. Now that I am in a seat where I will be judging celebrities over their dance, it is sort of unbelivable, but a great feeling too.”
