This too shall pass, says Shamita
Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s sister Shamita extended love and support to her “darling Munki” (Shilpa’s nickname) in difficult times. The actor’s younger sister posted an emotional note on Instagram and wrote that she will “always be with her.” Shamita wrote, “You have gone through a lot of ups and downs in your life, and one thing I know for sure is that you have emerged stronger. This too shall pass, my darling.” She also wished Shilpa success for Hungama 2, which dropped digitally on Friday. The film marks Shilpa’s return to Bollywood after 14 years. “I know you have put in a lot of effort into this one... the entire team has,” added Shamita.

The sci-fi thriller takes off
On Saturday, Amitabh Bachchan began shooting for Telugu director Nag Ashwin’s multilingual thriller at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Co-star Prabhas gave the clap for the first shot. “On Guru Purnima, it is an honour for me to clap for the guru of Indian cinema... it now begins,” he posted. Veteran South producer C Ashwini Dutt is backing the sci-fi thriller as part of his banner Vyjayanthi Movies’ golden jubilee celebrations. The film, which is being referred to as Project K, also stars Deepika Padukone. Spanish cinematographer Dani Sanchez-Lopez and composer Mickey J Meyer have been roped in for the film.

Brother act
Vicky Kaushal played the doting brother at cousin Upasana Vohra’s wedding celebrations. The doctor tied the knot with video creator Arunendra Kumar. Guests referred to Kaushal as the perfect dulhan ka bhai as he took charge of the rituals.
On the set
After Pathan, Deepika Padukone has resumed work on Shakun Batra’s untitled film in the city. Last October, she had started shooting for the rom-com, co-starring Ananya Panday, and Siddhant Chaturvedi, in Goa.

Back in town
Ranveer Singh is back in Mumbai after shooting in Belgrade with British adventurer Bear Grylls for a digital show. He had made a stopover in New Delhi to check out the locations for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with director Karan Johar.
Playing the game
After snapshots of them dancing together in local costumes in Ladakh did the rounds, now pictures of Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao enjoying a game of table tennis along with son Azaad have surfaced. Ever since they announced their separation earlier this month, their happily ever after pictures are being shared. Mr Perfectionist is known to guard his privacy, but looks like every off-camera moment from the set of Laal Singh Chaddha is being shared to prove that all is well, despite a change in their relationship.
Baby joy
South actor couple Arya and Sayyesha welcomed a baby girl on Friday. Sayyesha is the grandniece of Saira Banu, and daughter of Shaheen and ’90s actor Sumeet Saigal. After making her Bollywood debut in the Ajay Devgn-starrer Shivaay (2016), Sayyesha veered towards South films. She wed Arya in 2019. The Tamil star’s actor buddy Vishal shared his joy on social media. “Happy to break this news, great to be an uncle, my bro Jammy and Sayyesha are blessed with a baby girl, uncontrollable emotions right now in the midst of a shoot. Always wishing the best for them (sic).”
