Actor-producer Kamal Sadanah and make-up artist wife Lisa John are going their separate ways. The couple, who wed in 2000, has two children. After making his debut opposite Kajol in Bekhudi (1992), Sadanah was seen in a couple of films, including Rang (1993) alongside Divya Bharti. His last directorial venture was Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans (2014) starring Nora Fatehi and Bigg Boss 14 contestant Abhinav Shukla. Lisa is known as Bandra’s helmet girl for her work in creating awareness about road safety. She wears a helmet wherever she goes to emphasise the need to stay protected.



Teary reunion

After over a year, Sonam K Ahuja is back in Mumbai.Late Tuesday night, Anil Kapoor was at Mumbai airport to receive her. Seeing daddy dearest, Sonam got emotional and burst into tears. The actor had been missing her folks and was eager to be with them. As soon as she wrapped up her professional commitments, including the shooting of Shome Makhija’s Blind, and travel restrictions eased, she decided to wing her way to the city. Sonam and entrepreneur husband Anand Ahuja call London their home. 

Kangy finds her ‘lion’

Nawazuddin Siddiqui will star in Kangana Ranaut’s production, Tiku Weds Sheru. “The best actor of our generation joins the team. We are privileged to have found our ‘lion’. Filming begins soon,” read the statement from Ranaut’s production house, Manikarnika Films. The film, which will release on an OTT platform, marks Ranaut’s debut in the digital world.

Belgrade adventures

Ranveer Singh has jetted off to Belgrade for the shoot of an action-adventure show. Though the actor prefers to be hush-hush, it is said that he will be shooting with British adventurer Bear Grylls in the Serbian capital and in several other parts of East Europe. The high-budget show, which involves some jaw-dropping stunts, will release digitally. 

Baby joy

Two months after giving birth to a premature baby, Dia Mirza took to social media on Wednesday to share the news. Sharing a picture of the newborn’s hand, the actor revealed that she delivered a son on May 14, who has been named Avyaan Azaad. “Our little miracle has since then been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the neonatal ICU,” wrote Mirza, who tied the knot with entrepreneur Vaibhav Rekhi in February this year.

Taking on trolls and negativity

Arbaaz Khan returns as host on the chat show, Pinch. “It’s quirkier,” shared the actor-producer while announcing the second season, which drops digitally later this month. His star guests will reveal how they deal with trolls and negativity as social media is one place where they can’t get away with anything. The first episode features Arbaaz’s superstar brother Salman Khan, who wonders what prompted a troll to refer to Galaxy Apartments “aiyaashi ka ghar” considering he lives with his family. Ayushmann Khurrana, Kiara Advani, Ananya Panday, Farhan Akhtar, Farah Khan, Tiger Shroff and Anil Kapoor will also be seen on the show.

Deepika Padukone, who has been vocal about her battle with depression, launched the Frontline Assist initiative on Wednesday to provide mental health support to frontline workers.As people are facing a strong negative impact of COVID-19 on their emotional well-being, she is collaborating with Sangath, an NGO that address the psychological and social needs of people.

After being called out by a section of netizens for littering in Ladakh while shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan’s production house issued a statement to deny the allegations. It read, “We follow strict protocols for cleanliness in and around the shooting spaces. We have a team that makes sure that the location is kept trash-free.” Last week, a video did the rounds, which showed the garbage allegedly left behind in Wakha village.

He wrote that he was initially “reluctant” to play Manav. “It is scary to live up to the audience’s expectations but it is scarier to not even try. Knowing Sushant, he was one to take every challenge head-on... so I took the challenge,” posted Sheikh.
