Have You Heard? Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has received an ‘A’ certificate from the CBFC with a runtime of over 3 hours. The V Shantaram biopic, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Tamannaah Bhatia, has not been shelved, director Abhijeet Shirish Deshpande has clarified.

A long commitment  

Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), and the certification has revealed that the action thriller will be a lengthy affair, with a reported runtime of 194 minutes (3 hours 14 minutes). The film’s official synopsis is out too. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, it is set in post-Independence Goa and follows a gangster navigating loyalty, morality, and redemption amid violence and jealousy. Described as a world of brutal action and morally conflicted characters, Toxic, also starring Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, and Huma Qureshi, releases on August 26.
