Nana Randhir Kapoor shares his excitement as Saif-Kareena become parents to baby boy

‘Haven’t decided baby’s name yet’

The couple had announced their pregnancy last August

Little Tim Tim is now a big brother. Sunday kicked off on a joyous note for the Khans and Kapoors as Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan became proud parents to a baby boy again. The mommy-to-be was taken to the Breach Candy Hospital in the wee hours of Sunday morning, where she gave birth to the tiny tot around 9 am.

When mid-day extended congratulations to Randhir Kapoor, the senior actor said, “We are on top of the world. It feels wonderful to become a nana again. I met Kareena and the baby at the hospital. Both are doing fine.” Besides Randhir, Khan, son Taimur, Karisma and Babita made rounds of the hospital. While Khan’s mother Sharmila Tagore is at their ancestral property in Pataudi, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu and Kapoor’s aunt Rima Jain are expected to meet the latest addition to the family soon.

As good wishes poured in from industry friends and fans, Twitterati began speculating what the couple will name their second-born. When quizzed about the baby’s name, Randhir said, “It’s too early. We haven’t decided the baby’s name yet.”

In 2016, the star couple was subjected to online vitriol and trolling when they named their first-born Taimur. While detractors claimed that the name was inspired by Turkish invader Timur, Khan had clarified that Taimur means iron. Affected by the episode, Kapoor had recently said on her chat show What Women Want, “After the whole controversy of Taimur, Saif and I have not even thought about [the name of the second child]. We’re going to leave it till last minute and then spring a surprise.”
