Folks in the know say it is malaria

Hrithik Roshan has been quite unwell for ten days now and according to insiders, it's malaria.

Says a source, "Duggu has been very ill for over a week now. Apart from fever he has been complaining of backache, headache, muscle pain and tiredness all symptoms of malaria.

He was unwell even when he shot for Zee TV's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa last week. He complained of tiredness and fever in the afternoon but nevertheless completed his shoot in the evening. After that, he left for Dubai and London to promote Guzaarish with Ash."



Roshan Jr returned to Mumbai and went to Ahmedabad on Saturday. The source adds, "Hrithik is very charged about Guzaarish.

And though he has been quite unwell, he has been promoting it wherever the production has asked him to. The stress combined with exhaustion and fever took its toll. On his return from Ahmedabad, he finally collapsed at home."

The actor's secretary called up director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and told him that Duggu was in no state to go to Kolkata on Sunday for the film's promotion.

"Apparently, Hrithik couldn't even get up from his bed. Ash went to Kolkata alone," reveals the source Duggu, however, maintains that because of "over-exhaustion" his "blood pressure dropped" but that he "went to the gym and cured myself!" He concludes, "All better now!"

Last week, Karan Johar was also down with malaria and had to cancel his trip to Rome to attend the film festival there and missed celebrating Shah Rukh Khan's birthday party in Berlin.
