Her first task was to make diyas as it was the onset of the festive season. Huma says, &ldquo;After making diyas this Diwali, I realised that it&rsquo;s a lot of fun. I think everyone should try pottery making at least once. It is a good way to light up your life with your creations.&rdquo; Even though it was her first attempt at the craft, she has been faring well and earned appreciation from her teacher. She made about half a dozen diyas in her maiden attempt, painted them and gifted them to her friends. Her next step is to mould the clay at the potter&rsquo;s wheel to make a vase.u00a0

Huma Qureshi is now testing new waters. As soon as she wrapped up the shoot of her next film, Dedh Ishqiya, the actress began attending pottery classes.
