Inspired by Indian miniature paintings of the Mughal dynasty, Aartivijay Gupta’s creations, which were showcased at the Lakme Fashion Week this year, are up for sale at the newly-launched luxury store Dvar

Q. How would you describe the creations you designed for Lakme Fashion Week for this year and what makes them wearable for the common man?
A. My creations were inspired by the Indian miniature paintings of the Mughal dynasty from 1600 BC to 1800 BC. They are artistic yet wearable. I have experimented with print elements on nets and used plain silhouettes. The collection includes A-line dresses, sarees and kaftans.
